The apostle Paul wrote to his fellow brothers in the book of Philippians Chapter 3:1: ‘Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord…’ Smokie Norful, heeding the word of the Lord, has released a sensational, celebratory album called Life Changing. Following his 2004 Grammy Award-winning sophomore CD, Nothing Without You, Smokie has returned to share the abundant joy he feels in his spirit.

“For me, this project is truly a rejuvenation of Smokie Norful,” says Smokie, “It is part of a series of events that have been life changing for me.”

Over the past few years since the release of his debut CD, I Need You Now, Smokie has experienced life-changing events, such as the joy of fatherhood, pastoring a rapidly growing church ministry and experiencing artistic and material success. In recognition of these blessed events, the first track on the album, ‘Celebrate!’ is a call to rejoice in God, and enter into a worshipful presence with the Almighty for all He’s done.

Smokie testifies, affirming his decision to continue his spiritual walk on, ‘Um Good.’ Pronounced Mmm…Good, a selection written by award-winning, legendary producer and artist Percy Bady, who worked with Smokie on his sophomore project, Nothing Without You. ‘Um Good’ highlights the deep and overwhelming joy that comes from living a life for Christ.

Offering needed spiritual advice, ‘In Time,’ assures listeners that when events take place that are hard to understand, hold o…it will work out in time. The lyrics bear a dedicated message: I know you been abused/and someone took advantage of you/ but know that God will replace your scars like only He can do/Oh don’t walk around in your guilt and shame/ because it will work out in time. Continuing with a message of hope that no doubt stems from personal experience, Smokie’s ministering role extends further on the up-tempo, Caribbean-flavored ‘Great and Mighty.’ The lively tune testifies to God’s strength and power to help us overcome every obstacle in life.

Life Changing offers listeners a copious selection of vivid songs that compel listeners to reflect on their spiritual walk with God. In a rapidly decaying world, this is the time to walk closer to God.
