There’s no reason why any of us should take a break in our relationship with God. After the holiday slump, PAJAM, an exciting and deeply energetic production team, has created a joyful release to sing about called, Sing To The Lord! The new Praise & Worship project offers listeners a refreshing and much-needed opportunity: to begin the New Year by inviting the presence of the Lord into their homes on a daily basis through melodic praise.
It comes as no surprise that the group, consisting of seasoned studio heavyweights, Paul “pda” Allen, Walter Kearney and J Moss, have felt drawn to produce such a spiritually uplifting album. The PAJAM powerhouse production team has worked with notable Gospel artists such as Karen Clark-Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Dorinda Clark-Cole and many others.
Featuring infectious praise tunes such as the eloquent song, ‘Worthy Is The Lamb,’ and ‘Open The Eyes Of My Heart,’ the album offers an indisputable enthusiastic musical experience through familiar worship songs sung around the world. It is such a blessing to note that the compositions offer so much more than just entertainment. Sing To The Lord incites a soulful jubilee within: it is an opportunity to blissfully worship God through music.
The development of fused musical styles creates a lasting, memorable experience. Combining classical instrumental music on deep-rooted tracks such as ‘Father,’ and the prolifically, triumphant ballad, ‘Praise Adonai,’ the album provides a wonderful combination of nutritious food for the soul and sensational melodies for the ears.
“We had a vision of creating a record that takes these great worship songs and ignite a new spirit and soul into them,” said Kearney. “We’ve infused this CD with our urban gospel perspective, but kept the essence and spirit of the original compositions because they were all great songs to begin with. We just gave it the PAJAM insurance!”
I agree. It is PAJAM insurance for citizens concerned with eternal-life matters. With 11 wonderful tracks to serenade along with, PAJAM included worshipful ballads such as the flavorful ‘Trading My Sorrows,’ ‘My Redeemer Lives,’ and the lively tune, ‘Sing.’ I can testify without a doubt, ‘Sing’ is a hand-clapping, traditional song, fused with contemporary blends that will get you singing and moving uncontrollably.
The inspiring track, ‘There All The Time,’ speaks of a complete and total peace if we all rely on God to fix our problems: He is the light/In your darkest hour/Close your eyes, you’ll see Him/He was there all the time…Highlighting the message of God’s greatness, PAJAM conveys the glorious declaration of Christianity on the mid-tempo track, ‘Rescue.’ The song lifts up the name of the Lord, while proclaiming how important it is to stand for what you believe.
For each of us, worship is an individual experience, similar to tasting food. Worshipping with this delightful album, Sing To The Lord, will surely leave a lasting impression on you. The group proclaims there is nobody else, because it’s all about Jesus throughout the album, especially on the track, ‘All About You.’ Our daily Praise & Worship experience with God should be all about Him and nobody else. So take a moment or two out of your consuming day to give God the highest praise through this blessed album believers will certainly enjoy.
