Christmas is a universal
holiday recognized worldwide
by millions of Christians as
a time to celebrate the
birth of Jesus Christ. The
spirited season has also
evolved into a festive time
for Christians and
non-Christians, alike, for
fun get-togethers, gift
exchanges and food feasts
among friends, families and
colleagues from work.
But for another group of
special individuals,
Christmas has become a
season for giving
unconditionally to others in
desperate need of love,
attention and the good news
of Jesus. The yuletide
celebration has become a
time for turning the table
and focus on the
disadvantaged, the
alienated, the perplexed and
the incarcerated.
