Evans’ Inaugural Book Reveals
Path to Overcoming Emotional Pain

New Kensington, Pennsylvania  – After years of helping people in all walks of life to overcome paralyzing emotional pain, pastor and author David G. Evans has a vision for bringing healing to many more through his book, Healed Without Scars.

Evans explores what happens to our lives when we are hurt by disappointment, fear, rejection, failure, abuse, abandonment, or other problems. When our hurts linger and never fully heal, they cause emotional scarring that can lead to relational, vocational, and spiritual paralysis.

“David Evans is an energetic and compassionate leader with a heart for addressing contemporary needs,” said Robert Whitaker, Jr., vice president of Whitaker House. “We are excited that he is publishing his inaugural book with us and is part of our team of authors.”

Healed Without Scars is filled with contemporary and biblical accounts of those who suffered from life’s tests and trials and how their reaction to these circumstances affected the course of their lives. From his own experiences in overcoming the influence of an alcoholic father, as well as scriptural principles of suffering and healing, Evans shows readers what often prevents our healing and reveals the path to wholeness and renewed purpose in life.

Evans is the pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, New Jersey, and Prelate of the Abundant Harvest Fellowship of Churches. Recognizing the magnitude of needs throughout the southern New Jersey region, the fellowship has created a nonprofit community development corporation, Generations, Inc., that addresses the needs of residents through economic development and a broad range of human services.

Whitaker House, located outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has more than 30 years of experience in producing biblically based books that minister to the needs of people around the world. Whitaker House currently has more than 400 titles in print.
